I'm not going to lie but the poppet thing was really good (i know i was in it!) I think it ties in nicely with the shorter scenes. All of these can be developed much further. For instance, establish Blade's character more, showing the audience that he has the higher status within this scene. I quite enjoyed the small scene that Radley, Antonio and Yiannis created, again maybe say more than one line. Not only to make it longer but to get a sense of the 3 separate personalities of Tony.
I agree with Gwen, I liked some of the pieces that people came up with at Ivybrook. We've incorporated some of those pieces and developed them further. We have some strong imagery. I like the shadows idea and was wondering if this could be done as a small white screen at the back of the stage with a light behind it and two small silhouettes exchanging sizes slowly throughout the whole performance. We have a soundtrack running throughout. I'm not keen on showing film of any sort as the audience will be watching film after our piece and we are there to support the film with a live performance. I'm happy with what we have so far and rather than changing or adding to what we already have I think a whole new part could be added beforehand instead. We have most of Vanessa's points above covered but not the reveal of Brother/Sister so maybe that is something that could be worked on and added somewhere?
thanks Bronya. realistically might not be possible to achieve that with shadows. but maybe we can film it and project it and give the illusion of shadows? in my post, i was not suggesting that we do the reveal, just documenting the ideas you were having. i'm not sure we should give that away actually. it might ruin it for them.
