Adur Festival

Great job at the Adur festival. Just four performers created a great opening spectacle. Really well done.

Adur Festival Project

On Wednesday we put a short piece together with characters that came about from impro exercises, we experimented with different states of tension etc. Today we rehearsed in the space in Buckingham Park. We had to adapt the piece to a larger space but using more impro exercises with characters that are similar to our relationships and statuses, we added more moments to the piece that enhanced the status thing. We played around with powder paint to see how it would look and work. It was very productive even with George absent and fun too even with stange looks from dog walkers. We know exactly what we're doing and we're confident with our characters to improvise with the crowd on Sunday. We found an earthy looking dress for Catia/Mother Adur and a green curtain for draping around her to represent a Queen like figure. The rest of us need colour coordinated clothes to match other groups on the day. We will arrive early on Sunday to go through the sequence with George. Will any tutors be there Sunday?

Well done

Well done all. Final presentations were a joy; your learning, confidence, support and good humour made me happy and proud.
Great to have been a part of your journey and privileged to have taught you all.
See some of you after the summer. Those not returning, please keep in touch with us and let us know what exciting things you are doing.

Have a brilliant summer full of joy and theatre and film and great jobs and interesting thoughts on dissertations to be!

Adur Project

Hello all, a director found for the Adur project; those of you committed please make sure you liaise with Radley and make sure you can make rehearsals as we have already lost 2/3 first years! I do think it's a great opportunity with future possibilities too so if any of you not volunteered that can make it, please do.

Thanks

vanessa

More unit 9 Maths

some more sums to to for our financial learning! This is from the Brighton fringe

ticket sales - 8.5% commission and also 6 weeks after. How would that affect the budgeting then?

TICKET SETTLEMENTS

Your settlement will be the total money taken for tickets sold through the Brighton Fringe Box Office, minus 8.5% commission. Any charges for cancelled events and/or event changes will be deducted from your settlement, as will any FEU payments and outstanding invoices.
All settlements will be paid by BACS within six weeks of the festival ending. A spreadsheet showing a breakdown of sales and charges will be emailed out to the email address used during registration.

Anyone able to come to the course board meeting on Friday June? I realise it is the last day of term but...pretty please? we need a course rep or someone the group has delegated. Please let me know if you can make it, thanks, Lisa :)

Another local performance opportunity...

We need confident actors and actresses to form a company to perform on Worthing seafront on 28th and 29th June. Actors will be delivering dialogue from Wilde, Pinter, Shelley and Austen. Some acting experience is desirable but not required. Confidence is key!

What time are people having tutorials? Or is it a case of asking you a time that we would prefer?
