Feedback from ropetackle

Your group certainly caused a stir and it was amazing the differing remarks I heard after they left.

In the gap between their performance and the film starting I heard a couple of people comment that they really had no idea what it was about. The French lady, who actually chose the film, came over and enthused no end - saying everyone would understand once they had seen the film and couldn't the students return and do it again at the end of the film!!

After the film - when there was more time to listen to comments - we heard many, many positive comments from a variety of people - including "the students crystallised it for me" and "they reproduced the mood exactly" In the "comments book" we had two comments regarding the production - one said - "needs a microphone so we can hear all" and the other said, "Additional entertainment welcomed!!"

So.............. many congratulations to the students for finding the right note for this film. The majority of viewers believed it to be a huge success with just a small group not really enjoying the film at all so they had lost the point of the additional input.

For the next one, I believe we should think carefully about the sound - certainly many of our audience are of a certain age so hearing is not their strong point.   I was also told off for not being loud enough! Hopefully we will have another surprise at their very different approach at the next film - it was a good idea to get one of the students to liaise with me and make it even more their own development.
