Storytelling

Yes another interesting day where I learnt a lot. The main point that has stuck with me is storytelling. I told Joe that I have difficulty getting info from my brain to my mouth and when I tell a story I sidetract although managing to keep listeners, at the end I usually hear "is that it? where's the punchline?". Joe said people lose interest in irrelevant information or detail. Before telling a story, always think first 'what is the point?' Cut the waffle and get to the chase.

This leads on to the next thing that the film industry is quite harsh in the way that Directors and Casting Directors etc are not interested in anything that won't serve a purpose to the film. Time is money. They don't want to hear long explanations or irrelevant information about yourself.

Would you like me to expand further??
