ideas for disco pigs

  • is the script clear?
  • models of places and puppets
  • who is the guitarist?
  • 1 couple visible throughout? one journey?
  • birthday cake
  • 1 of the couples filming it all
  • 'i love you baby' build big moment
  • in disco 'she wants us for real now' big moment with all couples
  • one moment where all pigs and runts come together for a moment.
  • PALACE!

  1. Personally, I understand the script. My only worry is that, seeing the film, I think people may compare themselves with the actors. The guitarists are Sam and Sophie, Sophie also will play the piano, that is my understanding. I think that if one couple are visible throughout, they should be out of the way, either on rostra blocks on on the silks. We should definately have a food fight with a few birthday cakes at one point to show the childness and the playfullness of the characters. then maybe Runt should get violent and take it seriously to show the contrast in their personalities. If we did have filming, wouldnt it have to be the people who are always in the scenes so the audience dont get confused. I have looked through the play and I cant see that line anywhere. If we are using projection, are we keeping it as a theme, if so would the palace be a projection.

  2. My apologies for a disappearing act, am back now. My scenes in the script are very clear to me. My belief was that we were going to use bodies for each scene needing props instead of any actual props. In which case, a visible pair could be confusing especially in scenes where we are used as multiple people. Food fight!? fun but very messy. Would be fun for the audience too though, people love that sort of thing. There is one moment I can think of where all Pigs and Runts come together seperately or do you mean as a group? My overall concern is that if there is too much going on it will get confusing for the audience. It took me ages to understand the script. The audience only has one chance!
